calm...

a sense of calm after the frenzy of the last few months, I found a quiet spot on the beach just a little way up from the excited squeals of squishy toddler nudie runs...
enjoying unseasonally warm winter weather, with almost a week of perfect sunshine its doing wonderful things for everyone's mood...
Strangely, with this calmness is a niggling sense of unease hovering in the background, nightly discussions of schoolyard tension, hubby thinking of career change, the littlest guy growing up way too quick, the very thought of him at school next year blows my mind & makes me sad.
For now though, I am going to enjoy these calm easy breezy days and re-energise for the next crazy ride.  It's inevitable isn't it, this roller coaster of life...

getting some favourite pieces together for the open studio at 5 star baby! today...
making sure I have enough snugly goodies to go around...
I'm supposed to be gearing up for spring, but I can't get enough of my winter warmers just now...
I still haven't managed that downtime yet.  Okay, starting after today...

coming up daisies...

I'm so grateful today for sunshiny days in the middle of winter...
feeling warm sun on bare skin...
watching happy kids play & making daisy chains...

You should pop on over to visit the birthday girl here & see what everyone else is grateful for today!

down time...

I'm slowly getting back to normal after my market 'hangover'.  There has been just so much going on in the last 8 weeks that I've felt a little overwhelmed & in over my head, to be honest. I was going to post some pictures here, snapshots of the last two months, but I haven't many to share, too busy to take photos it seems...

Now the sun is shining, a warm breeze blows & I feel like it's time to take things a bit slower, focus on my guys, all four of them.  They all need me for different things at the moment and it's time to be Mum & supportive wife again...
As I type this the littlest guy comes and throws his arms around my waist with a kiss & an "I love you, Mum!"  Now I need to make his tiny, tiny Robin figurine another cape, and some teeny tiny gloves with the bat symbol & a jagged edge.  He asks me to make the funniest things, he thinks I'm very clever!  Yesterday he asked me a question that I didn't know the answer to, "yes you do," he says, "you always know!" God love him, it's nice to be the superhero in his little life...

So, after hosting tomorrows Enjo party (not sure how I agreed to that one) and finishing off a few more Loved orders, I'm going to have some down time, well at least just focus on the stay at home mum side of life & be sure to put my camera to better use to capture the moments...
I hope the sun is shining where you are, it's been glorious here!

done...

Well, that's my first market done & dusted!  It was a great day, so many gorgeous stalls, you could spend a fortune on all the goodness available at Piccadilly Market...

I have to say I am pooped!  Two weeks flat out preparing for the big day has finally taken it's toll, I feel a little zombie-like today.  The stall looked nice, I met some gorgeous people & even sold a few things so it was a good day all round!  I could have sold the shrug I was wearing 10 times over!! (mental note for next winter...make shrugs!)

Now I have a few orders to get busy on & then I am sooo looking forward to sitting down with that delicious  bundle in the picture to make a few new things, maybe even a little something just for me...
