my creative space & a birthday...

Our baby is 4 today!  My goodness how time goes by way too fast.  I really do remember every detail of his dramatic entry into this world as though it were just yesterday.  I'm convinced that the story of our children's births is a direct reflection of their personality, I'm sure of it!! We laugh as we remember each of their births, all different stories and how extraordinarily it resembles who they are...

So we're off to have some birthday fun, and in a quiet moment, should there be one, I will work the hook a little on my softie for Mirabel...

I must share the birthday boys extra special birthday dinner request...Pumpkin Soup & Seed Bread!!
How funny is that, his brothers are mortified...

Skip on over to Kootoyoo to share in some more "creative" creative spaces...

Happy Birthday to your little son.
I am with you on the birth stories...fascinating! I trained to be a midwife ...our entry into the world is so intrinsically wrapped up with who we are.
Happy BIRTH day to you too

  3. sounds like a great Birthday dinner, and perfect for the sort of weather we are having! Last night I was about to serve the chicken caccitore (spelling?) when I asked hubby to pass me the soup ladle. Horrified my daughter 15 asked "are we having soup for dinner"?
Wishing Master 4 an ace Birthday!

  4. Happy Birthday to you baby!! They are still so little at four aren't they? So cute too. I love his meal choice, clearly he has fine tastes. I always requested roast dinners with broccoli. They are still my favs but now I have to cook them myself! Have a super day.

  15. Happy birthday to my twin!
I gotta say though, our tastes could not be more different, me being a disliker of all things orange and all. I'm having pancakes for mine. Maybe his big brothers could come and celebrate here.

Oh and Kate - I did a recipe for pumpkin pancakes yesterday, so perhaps the two loves could be combined??

Love the pumpkin soup request - mine's fave and oft requested is TOMATO SOUP (straight from the can mind, and is a 'dad's not home dinner' for us!)...
